Okay ladies, my new fav lip gloss is Revlon Beyond Natural. I purchase multiple lip glosses at a time, per week that range from $45 Channel to $6.99 Revlon. I never can seem to fall in love with any of them for one reason or another. It is quite possible I may be too picky. However summer and spring time are quickly approaching and a soft sweet lip is always in style.
I know you understand me ladies out there in viewer land. It's nearly impossible to find a complimentary lip shade that works with the array of different eye makeup colors, clothing, patterned hats, and our ever changing skin tones. I have been searching for a natural gloss that's not super shiny and will wear longer then 5 minutes and a stick of gum. I want creamy coverage not just a sheer veil of shine. Is that too much to ask for? . I found it my friends! This gloss wears like a lipstick yet is light enough for any woman of any age to wear.
This beyond natural line is relatively new, and available in a variety of soft natural hues; Nude, Peach( what I wear), Pink, Rosy, Berry, Plumb berry, Spice and Deep Spice.
Revlon has also coordinated ; lip liners, eye shadows, and nail polishes all in the same tones, to effectively coordinate your natural look. Style Savvy Buy
Quick Tips:
- Don't wear lip liner with this gloss, it is a creamy consistency and liner will likely create a heavier lip (not what you are going for).
- Unfortunately this gloss can not be worn if your lips are dry, chapped and cracked. Reason being the gloss will settle in all of the harsh lines. But the shades are very complimentary.
-All colors are also available in a matte lipstick, which is very popular this winter season, so find your perfect shade and pick up a $5.99 matte lip stick as well.
Check it out on revlon.com, or at your local drug store.
Eye markers:
Shaped and smelling as such, its a real marker, well more of a highlighter. I tried L'oreal's Voluminous Traceur Yeux Eyeliner in black brown which turned out to be more like ashy green, grey. The tip is beveled and not conducive for easy application. It has a tacky texture and takes off all other eye make up already on the eye but wont deposit any color of its own, go figure. The color is shallow and lacks depth. After applied, it sinks into the lash line disappearing and no matter how many coats are piled on, will not give a rich healthy definition... cost $6.99. Not a style savvy Buy!
I give L'oreals swing and a miss, Voluminous Eyeliner Marker 0 out of 5 kisses.
Rather in true frugelesta fashion, save $4 and spend a mere $3 on Rimmel London's Special Eyes Precision Eye Liner Pencil. This little perfection in a stick has a magnificent consistency. The tip is not to ashy, flaky or smudgy. Goes on with easy and has a softer coal look. I suggest color 164 Hurricane Grey. It has a hint of blue creating a illuminating look rather then a straight black harsh line. Oh and P.S. It stays on all day, no need to check your self in the rear view more then once ladies. A true, Style Savvy Buy
